Your Boiler is most efficient when heat transfer surfaces are clean of minerals that are found in water. Unfortunately, scale builds up and prevents the heat to evenly be transferred. This can lead to metal warpage which makes water and fire tubes fail. When this happens the tubes must be fixed.
